Growing up Together

“The learning environment we create is the reflection of who we (Educators) are in our relationship with children- as mighty learners and citizens- and their families.” (Flight)

The Joy
Welcome to the Seeds of Success

of growing up together

At Seeds of Success, we create a “responsive environment” while being mindful of the usage of time (e.g., short attention span of children), space (e.g., Learning areas), play material (open-ended toys or material to provoke children’s creativity) and participation of children and educators. We believe the environment plays a foundational role in children’s learning. We offer our children a learning-through-play environment filled with empathy and free choices designed to be functional for children’s play, esthetic, and reflective of our children’s learning, where the connection between children, teachers, families, and the environment ignites children’s learning.

I want to…

Choices to play in multiple learning areas means giving free rein to the imagination, exploration, constructing knowledge and spontaneous movements of a child’s pretend play.

At Seeds of Success, children will “empowered to learn on their own terms, in their own ways, and in their own time…” (Flight)

I want to
I am doing it.

I am doing it.

We see children as “Mighty Learners, Capable Children, Global Citizens”: The children will discover that they can do the daily gestures on their own, such as put on their jackets, eat like an adult, wash their hands, and so on.

Social brain: Practicing empathy

We are not born with pre-wired social cognition. The ability to understand other’s mental states develops over the first four or five years of life. According to Neuroscience, an empathetic attitude promotes better neural development. We believe that children tend to mirror the way of doing and the emotions of the adults and peers around them. We practice serve and return interaction between children and Educators to create a safe environment where children will feel heard.

Mixed age group

Mixed age group

Our mixed age group setting encourages children to build strong bonds with peers, not their own age, leading to pro-social behaviour. In our multi-age setting, children naturally get the support they need from one another and adults until they have mastered the skills. In other words, the scaffolds will be there until the building can self-stand.

A practice of relationships: A better world

The Seeds of Success team practices a constant behaviour of respect and trust to value and encourage the children.
We look forward to guiding and supporting your children as they grow, explore, discover, learn, play and laugh. Being a part of children’s learning and growth is an honour and pleasure for us.

3rd Teacher

“There are three “teachers” that are involved with children's learning – the parents, the classroom teachers, and the classroom environment.”
